The emblematic flowers of the House are embellished with local colors and techniques, a powdery pink from the Palace of Winds meets the cyclamen of sarees and the bright red of bindis. Turquoise, emerald green and electric blue reflections of the Taj Mahal pool are vivified by a hint of bright orange. Just like the celebrated Festival of Colours, the collection’s shades are vibrant and contrasting.
The joyful and colorful inspirations are embedded in the patterns, carefully selected from the Maison’s archives. Cashmere patterns in bold colors, geometrical “Art Deco” patterns and interlacing gemstones are reminiscent of the finely crafted Taj Mahal facades, and the legendary wealth of Maharadjahs.
The richness of patterns is expressed on silky and luxury fabrics. The designs are enhanced by the brightness of a brocade, the modernity of metallic neoprene, the subtlety of crafted silk, the softness of fuzzy woolen cloth, the derision of long-hair fake fur, or even the surprise of plasticized jersey.
