COMITE COLBERT X LEONARD

12 November 2024

November 5th - Leonard Paris is taking part in the ‘Jeux de Mains’ exhibition organised by Comité
Colbert in Shanghai, where visitors have an exclusive opportunity to see how the prints for
which it is internationally renowned are produced by hand.

To celebrate 60 years of Franco-Chinese relations, Comité Colbert has chosen to honour the expertise of the
French luxury industry with a unique exhibition in Zhangyuan, a historic and cultural district of the city, from
November 4th to November 10th.

For the duration of the event, Leonard Paris is offering visitors a dedicated space in the shape of a showcase,
where they can take part in a workshop on the ‘art of prints’, reflecting the DNA of Leonard Paris creations: an
original mix of floral, geometric and ethnic prints inspired by various travels. For this special occasion, the
emblematic prints are also presented through the traditional Chinese embroidery technique SuZhou.

From the creation of Leonard Paris in 1958, this renowned ‘art of flowers’ has become the brand’s signature. The
art of representing it, by using the powdered design technique borrowed from Chinese artists, and the art of wearing
it, by depicting it onto materials that are as fine as they are light, such as silk, cashmere and the famous silk jersey.

For 65 years, the Maison has been transmitting and perpetuating this unique savoir-faire, elevated to the rank of
art craftsmanship, thanks to a rare alchemy combining artistic creation and the excellence of techniques imbued
with tradition and exacting standards.

From the hand-crafting of its exclusive designs, through its printing on fabrics using ever more inventive techniques,
to the excellence of its collections, Leonard Paris, whose mission is to reveal a timeless and radiant femininity, is
more than ever demonstrating its uniqueness in the world of luxury ready-to-wear.

Chiara Gallacci, designer and colourist at Leonard Paris, is leading this workshop to help as many people as
possible discover her vocation and the savoir-faire of the Maison. Guests will be able to discover a unique
combination of craftsmanship and innovation, demonstrating the finesse of the Leonard Paris approach through
drawings, colours, prints and archives.
